A little bit about me.
I grew up on a quaint five-acre farm in a small Midwestern town. I was the son of a mechanic and a school teacher who both instilled in me a curiosity to learn, create, and solve problems. As a child, my imagination took shape through technology and video games, drawing little characters and drafting concepts for my own games.
It wasn’t until much later that I was introduced to the field of UX. I find it to be a harmony of different disciplines that all make up who I am as a person—someone who is creative yet possesses a critical sense for solving problems. I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Human Factors Psychology, working alongside Dr. Pamela Wisniewski in an HCI research lab. Later, I had the privilege of working as a UX intern for UCF IT under Dr. Maria Harrington, improving UCF’s student portal.
